Ashwin Vasan

Ashwin Vasan is the Associate Director for Research, Monitoring, and Regulations (RMR) at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) where he focuses on a range of policy issues across consumer financial product markets. Prior to his appointment as Associate Director, he served at CFPB as a Senior Advisor to the Director and the Bureau’s Chief Information Officer. Ashwin has held positions as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company and as Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Capital One.

Ashwin attended Harvard University and graduated with an AB in Physics. He also received an M. Phil in economics from Cambridge University and a JD from Harvard University.
